²  Explorer Rewards Points expire 5 years (60 months) from the date earned. For example, Explorer Rewards Points earned in November 2020 will expire November 30, 2025. Your monthly Visa Gold Credit card statement will alert you regarding expiring points. You may also view your points balance online in the Explorer Rewards portal. Minimum number of Explorer Rewards Points redeemable for cash is 2,500. Expired points will not be reinstated to your account. Your account must be in good standing (i.e. not delinquent or canceled, or otherwise not usable for charges or other transactions) to redeem Explorer Rewards points.

Notify Us When You Travel
If you're an existing Parsons FCU Visa Credit or Debit Card holder, notify Card Services if you are traveling so that your spending privileges won't be interrupted. You can do so through online banking and your mobile app under Travel Notification.

Foreign Currency Exchange Rate
Visit Visa's Foreign Currency Exchange website to estimate the rate of exchange when using your Parsons FCU Visa Credit Cards internationally. Visa charges a 1% Currency Conversion Fee.

If suspicious activity is detected on your card, you may receive a text, email, or call from our card processing center to notify you and request your instruction to authorize or unauthorize the charge(s). 

Card Activation   Parsons FCU urges all credit and debit card holders to activate and sign the back of their cards upon receipt. Technically, merchants are not authorized to accept credit or debit cards that are not signed by the cardholder or have used the signature panel on the back of the card for something other than a signature such as "Ask for ID."

EMV Chip Card   Parsons FCU is very excited to offer our members the added protection that a chip card provides. There are a few things to know about your new card. The card has an embedded microchip that turns your Parsons FCU card member information into a unique code that is used to obtain approval for your transaction. For the card reader to read the chip, insert your card into the terminal and press the green button to accept the amount. Be sure to leave your card in the terminal and wait for authorization before removing your card. Removing it too soon can damage the chip. For a visual on how to use your card,  click here .

Contactless Card    Your Visa Platinum features the Contactless Indicator     which means you can use it to tap to pay where you see the Contactless Symbol     including many of your favorite stores. Tapping to pay with your Visa contactless chip card or payment-enabled mobile/wearable device is a secure way to pay because each transaction generates a transaction-specific, one-time code, that is extremely effective in reducing counterfeit fraud. To make a payment, your contactless chip card or payment-enabled mobile/wearable device must be placed within 2 inches of the Contactless Symbol     located on the checkout terminal in order for the transaction to take place (so you can’t pay accidentally). You can also rest assured that Visa will protect your payment information from fraud losses and unauthorized purchases with Visa’s Zero Liability Policy. Your Billing Rights

Note to our long term card members: Our new rewards program,  Explorer Rewards , allows our cardholders to enjoy upgraded perks and an enhanced website experience!
